Theatrical Reviews
Here's what folks are saying about local productions!

Audience of One
"Mary Poppins at Audience of One is driven by the performances of the title character. Outwardly stern and "practically perfect" nanny, McKenna finds a variety of layer that add to the magic of her character. The most profound character arc in the show is no doubt that of George Banks but his arc is only possible because of the honest, earnest portrayal of his wife, Winnifred. Together they provide the emotional backbone of the story. With energetic performances from the ensemble, Mary Poppins makes for an enjoyable afternoon. "

Street Theatre
"Lizard Boy, produced by Street Theatre Company, is a wacky, silly, charming, and thrilling story with grounded characters and poignant meaning at its core. Eklan Singh, Delaney Amatrudo, and Shane Kopischke all deliver beautiful performances which help bring this adventurous and brave story to life. The music is funny and emotionally powerful at the same time with some hints of Tenacious D on occasion (which was delightful). Julie Adams adds depth with her stunning cello accompaniment. Everything about this show was inspiring, interesting, and entertaining (light and sound design giving it a boost all throughout). Lizard Boy is a fantastic show to celebrate pride month and good stories in our local community."

Arts Center of Cannon County
Newsies is a vibrant, energetic experience of a show. The ensemble shines with marvelous enthusiasm for the story, and dance their hearts out. Each Newsie is individually interesting and committed. The music is an immersive sea of sound, and the show itself is gorgeous to look at. The best seats in the house for this show will be in the center section for anyone looking to attend."
